Sallie Jian launched and is Head of SAP.iO New York which is the corporate innovation and VC arm of SAP. She has sourced over 500 startups for the accelerator program in SAP’s strategic areas such as future of work, commerce, supply chain, sustainability and Web3. Sallie built the SAP.iO platform from the ground up including processes around sourcing, due diligence, investment scope/focus, portfolio management, business development and headcount/team. In addition, she also advises SAP’s Corporate Development team and executives on M&A and startup investments.
Sallie is spearheading SAP’s enterprise adoption of Web3 by partnering with startups in strategic areas such as consumer experience, authenticity, compliance, supply chain, ERP, analytics, payments, marketplaces, HR. Through her accelerator, she advises startups to help them hone their growth playbook including Web3 startups such as Amberdata, Everledger, Obsess, Bigthinx and VNTANA. Sallie’s conviction in a decentralized future and push to accelerate Web3 investment is helping drive SAP’s increasing exploration into the space.
Previously, Sallie was VP and Head of Venture Capital at SeedInvest (acquired by Circle), CFO/Head of Business Development at Savile Row Society (men’s e-commerce), Associate at General Atlantic (private equity) and Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley (Technology in Silicon Valley).
She has received awards such as Innovators & Disruptors in Venture Capital (by CNBC & America on Tech) and Top 50 Women Transforming FinTech (by NYC Women in Fintech). She is a frequent public speaker and has been invited to speak at Business Schools (UC Berkeley, Cornell, Stanford GSB, IESE, Fordham), AdWeek, United Nations, LAUNCH, 1776, Empress Insights, Retail X, Brunchwork, VC Summit, Women's Alternative Investment Summit, Supply Chain Revolution, SmartCon and podcasts. Sallie graduated from the Haas Business Program at UC Berkeley.
